If you've never used Composer Pro before, we suggest that you start with either Composer Pro Getting Started available in the Composer Pro application's Help menu or on the Control4 web site as a PDF. If you're already familiar with Composer Pro, you can skip through the Composer Pro Getting Started, and continue with the sections in this document. FYI, I did not have a need to factory reset my HC800 running 2.9.1 to get this working. I was able to pick up from the existing programming. Installing the patched Composer Pro 2.5.3 is necessary to get any later Composer upgrade to accept your email / password, but it's not necessary to have it talk to the HC800 while it's at rev 2.5.3.

I tried this without luck so far. The PC that I was using had Composer HE installed and running. That is what I use with my main system that is managed with my dealer.
I bought an HC250 on eBay and I plan to set it up as a second system for now. I installed Composer 2.5.3, ran the hack, installed 2.9 and ran the hack again. But I get an error when I try to connect.
Anyone have any advice? Should I do a factory reset? This will push my back to 2.5.3.
Should I try on a different PC?
